Key points

  • •Saudi Arabia is the largest destination for Pakistani workers — more than 5.3 lakh went there in 2025 alone.
  • •You can attest in Riyadh or Jeddah, or online through NADRA with a video interview.
  • •At the Jeddah consulate two witnesses must be present when the power of attorney is executed.
  • •Plan any hearing that needs you in person around your annual leave.

How do I make a power of attorney in Saudi Arabia for use in Pakistan?

  1. 1

Get the power of attorney drafted

We draft it in the form Karachi offices accept, for the exact plot, house, case or account.

  2. 2

    Choose online or in person

With a CNIC or NICOP you can apply on NADRA's portal and choose the Riyadh or Jeddah mission. Otherwise attend the mission covering your city.

  3. 3

    Bring the required documents

The Jeddah consulate lists your original CNIC/NICOP, a copy of your Iqama, a Saudi mobile number, passport photos and your attorney's CNIC copy.

  4. 4

Sign before the officer with two witnesses

Two witnesses must be present for execution of the power of attorney and any affidavit.

  5. 5

    Send it to Karachi

Send the original to your attorney for registration and use.

Which Pakistani missions serve Saudi Arabia?

  • •Embassy of Pakistan, Riyadh
  • •Consulate General of Pakistan, Jeddah

When applying online, select the mission that covers where you live — the wrong choice can lead to rejection.

A family member died while working in Saudi Arabia — how do heirs claim dues?

Heirs in Pakistan often need to claim end-of-service benefits and other dues from a Saudi employer. The Jeddah consulate's community welfare guidance says a power of attorney for this must be attested by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Pakistan and by the Saudi Embassy in Islamabad. A succession certificate or NADRA family registration certificate is usually needed to prove who the heirs are — we prepare both.

What Karachi matters do clients in Saudi Arabia usually bring?

  • •Plots and flats bought in instalments — delayed possession, cancellation and refund disputes
  • •Building or renovating a family house through a relative or contractor
  • •Illegal occupation of a plot or house while the owner is abroad
  • •Inheritance and succession certificates after a parent's death
  • •Khula, maintenance and custody cases

Saudi Arabia is two hours behind Pakistan, so same-day calls are easy. Where a court needs you in person, we try to schedule that hearing during your annual leave.
