The federal Overseas Pakistanis Property Act, 2024 set up special courts in Islamabad with a 90-day target, and Punjab has followed with its own law, but Sindh has not set up equivalent courts. Karachi cases are heard by the regular courts, where the Illegal Dispossession Act, 2005 still offers a direct route against land grabbers.
