Wife Maintenance (Nafqa)

A husband is legally obliged to financially support his wife. If maintenance is being withheld, we file a maintenance application in the Family Court and obtain an interim maintenance order — typically within 2–4 weeks — even while the main case continues. Non-payment of a court-ordered maintenance is contempt of court, carrying fines and imprisonment.

Child Maintenance

A father is legally required to maintain his children until the age of majority. We establish the correct amount based on the father's income and the children's needs, and we pursue enforcement proceedings where payments are missed.

Mehr and Dower Recovery

Mehr is a contractual right arising from the nikah. Whether prompt or deferred, we file dower recovery suits in Family Court. If the amount was not specified in the nikah nama, the court can assess a customary amount.

Dowry and Bridal Gifts Recovery
